Tiene un pedigree excepcional: sus padres Carthago Z y Taggi están entre los mejores caballos de salto del mundo. Carthago Z participó en el año 1996 con la monta de Jos Lansink en la Olimpíada de Atlanta, y otra vez en Sidney en 2000.
Cartani, con Charlotte von Ronne, ganó el Grand Prix CSI 5 * y la Copa de Naciones con los colores daneses en Roma, St
Gallen, Balve, Aix La Chapel, Drammen, Linz y Oslo. El binimio también compitió en el Campeonato de Europa de 2013.
Su madre Taggi ( por Landgraf ) fue el mejor caballo Alemán en la Copa de Naciones de la Olimpíada de Barcelona , allí obtuvo el bronce individual y oro por equipos. Montada por Soren Von Ronne, logra el 3er puesto individual en el mundial de La Haya
CALETTO I, fue Medalla de Bronce en el Campeonato Europeo de Hickstead'83, e hijo directo de COR DE LA BRYERE en linea materna (DEKA) por CONSUL , el hijo de mayor influencia de COTTAGE SONG xx ; y padre de CANTUS, CALVARO , CARTUSCH, ALDATUS e IBERIO entre otros. Siendo en 1985, el mejor €World Cup Horse€ del Equipo Alemán, y elegido en 1997, como mejor padrillo de Alemania. Caletto I fue aprobado en Neumünster en 1977, al siguiente año aprobo el test de performance en Medingen.
